Food Survey - Kelly's answers

BREAKFAST
1. What is your favorite breakfast to make/have at home?
Homemade "McGriddles." Mini pancakes with an egg, a slice of cheese, and bacon sandwiched in between with syrup on top.

2. What do you usually eat for breakfast?
One egg and a bowl of cereal

3. If you were to go out to breakfast, where is your favorite place and what do you order?
Pancake Cafe. Blueberry Crepes, huevos rancheros, or bacon pancakes.

4. What do your kids usually eat for breakfast?
Eggs and toast or a bowl of cereal

LUNCH
1. What do you usually eat for lunch?
A mini can of V8, turkey on a mini wheat bagel, baked cheetos, and a piece of fruit

2. What does your husband/wife usually eat for lunch?
God only knows. Probably cereal. Or a peanut butter sandwich.

3. Where is your favorite lunch spot if you are eating out.
Don't really eat out for lunch.

4. If your kids are in school, do they prefer to bring a lunch or eat school food.
She eats the "school" food at her center.

5. When you were growing up, did you bring a lunch or eat school food?
Kind of half and half. Straw hats were my favorite lunch. They were everyone's favorite, I think. Crappy taco seasoned lunchroom ground beef scooped ice cream scoop style on top of a pile of corn chips with shredded government cheese on top. It came with a sticky bun!

DINNER
1. What are some common dinners at your house?
Spaghetti and meatballs, tuna casserole, chili

2. Who does the cooking?
Duh.

3. What is your favorite place to order take-out/fast food?
Chang Jiang (chinese), Glass Nickel (pizza, pasta, chicken, you name it)

4. If you were going out for supper, what is one of your most your favorite places?
Melting Pot, Granite City, Hu-Hot, Benvenuto's, Samba Brazilian Grill

5. Do you stick to the basics or expirement with new recipes?
Love to experiement, but only when I have time...not so much anymore. I bake new recipes more than I cook.

6. What is a recipe that you've tried recently?
Made up a new recipe for nectarine tartlets last weekend, but that's not cooking. Hmmm...can't remember, some sort of stew thing but that was quite a while ago.

7. Do you prepare different foods for your kids or do they typically eat whatever you are having?
This is a sore spot for me. She'll eat spaghetti or tuna casserole or stuff like that, but she won't eat chili. She's a picky eater, and it's a miracle if we can get her to put a vegetable in her mouth.

DESSERT
1. Do you eat it every night?
No

2. What is a common dessert at your house?
Ice Cream

3. If you had the time (and energy) to prepare a dessert, what would you like to have tonight?
Flourless chocolate torte, rustic apple tart, deep-fried oreo cakesters (but I'm going to healthy-eating hell for even bringing that idea into the house.)
