4. If your kids are in school, do they prefer to bring a lunch or eat school food. They LOVE lunchables, but then eat half of them and waste them. I do standard lunches for them - deli sandwiches, mac n cheese, etc.
5. When you were growing up, did you bring a lunch or eat school food? My senior year, I brought my own lunch a lot- my jr. year a little....otherwise, ate the school food. my favorite was probably chicken nuggets. mac n cheese day was the WORST. i can still smell the cafeteria if i try.

DINNER
1. What are some common dinners at your house? lots of salads, shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, fish, homemade pizza, grilled anything, lots of steamfresh veggies- i buy a crapload of those.
2. Who does the cooking? I do all of it and like it that way.
3. What is your favorite place to order take-out/fast food? I like pizza...Caseys or Pizza Hut. Joe and I set a rule of no going out to eat except subway....we are on like week 3 and we have like 4 weeks to go....it's been challenging because we usually eat out one meal a week...but it's saving us money and time, actually.
4. If you were going out for supper, what is one of your most your favorite places? Granite City, On the Border, Three Amigos,
5. Do you stick to the basics or expirement with new recipes? I try lots of new recipes...I have a few basics but not very many.
6. What is a recipe that you've tried recently? Spicy Peanut chicken (chinese dish) and LOVED it. I am going to try shrimp enchiladas next!
7. Do you prepare different foods for your kids or do they typically eat whatever you are having? They eat what we are having.

DESSERT
1. Do you eat it every night? Personally, I do not. But, yes, I offer dessert almost every night- it's just nothing elaborate. I am not a baker by any stretch of the imagination. And, since I'm not a huge fan of sweets, I have no desire to be a good baker.
2. What is a common dessert at your house? Ice Cream, Homemade Blizzards, Cookies (I use store bought dough), vanilla wafers and milk, graham crackers and milk or graham crackers and frosting, waffle cookies (I put that recipe on my blog), cereal sometimes, oreo cookies
3. If you had the time (and energy) to prepare a dessert, what would you like to have tonight? Hmmm.....my favorite thing from a store is Red Velvet cupcakes or real white wedding cake (from a real bakery)....i like Better than Sex cake. I really like fruit pizza with the sugar cookie bottom. I like strawberry rhubarb pie. Or, gma's scotcharoos. But, as far as stuff that I make....I just don't make very good stuff.

My own question and answer:
Biggest cooking challenge right now: Making something fast and getting Maddox to eat. He's not eating a lot at all....it's frustrating.
